Spectra to showcase ground vehicle solutions at ground vehicles event in Michigan.
Spectra Aerospace & Defense will be on hand Aug. 12-14 at the Ground Vehicle Systems Engineering and Technology Symposium (GVSETS) in Novi, Michigan, where we’ll be demonstrating our latest advances in rugged vetronics for military ground vehicles. As a trusted innovator with over half a century of experience, Spectra continues to deliver mission-critical solutions that span the complete data continuum for the connected force.
At GVSETS, visitors to our booth will experience firsthand how our integrated approach addresses every aspect of ground vehicle electronics through our five core capabilities: Capture, Convert & Route, Process, Display, and Control.
Advanced capture & recording systems
Our CALCULEX Recorder, Integrated Processor, Router (RIPR) series delivers flexible, low SWaP solutions for both temporary and permanent sensor data acquisition. These systems feature any-to-any data routing, video compression and precise packet timing that simplifies new sensor and system integration. High-capacity, high-speed encrypted recording ensures no critical data is ever missed.
Mission-critical processing power
The Galleon High-Performance Recorder (HPR) is built to withstand the most severe environmental conditions without compromising functionality. The unit features removable storage with multi-layer encryption, high-performance graphics, multiple gigabit Ethernet ports, and full compatibility with military vehicle standards including GCIA and GVA.
Rugged display solutions
ArgonFDS provides an extensive range of rugged LCD displays sized from 5” to 43”, all engineered for ground vehicle applications. These displays offer sunlight readability and NVG compatibility, with options including bezel keys, cold start capability, and rugged AR touch screens.
“GVSETS represents the perfect opportunity to demonstrate how our three specialized business units — CALCULEX, Galleon Embedded Computing and ArgonFDS — work together to solve the complex challenges facing today’s military ground vehicles,” said Dan Eckiss, Director of Business Development at Spectra Aerospace & Defense. “Our battle-tested, low SWaP equipment including data acquisition units, video & data routing, GCIA/GVA-compatible processors, and ruggedized workstations are designed specifically for the harshest battlefield environments.”
The company’s solutions address critical needs across multiple domains, from encrypted storage and mission computers to rugged displays and human interface devices. Each product series can be tailored to meet application-specific requirements, ensuring optimal performance for unique operational needs.
“What sets us apart is our deep understanding of the ground vehicle environment and the unique challenges it presents,” added Eckiss. “We’re not just providing individual components — we’re delivering integrated solutions that work together seamlessly to give our warfighters the technological advantage they need in the field.”
GVSETS attendees are invited to visit Spectra’s booth to learn how our solutions can address specific mission requirements. Our team of experts will be on hand to provide technical insights and explore partnership opportunities.
